Matt is such a wonderful person and dentist! I have referred several of my close friends to him who now say they will never go to anyone else but him! Not only is he down to earth , very friendly and personable, but also a very skilled and technical dentist! Dr Coons and his staff are extremely friendly and helpful! I am getting my very first crown soon and he took the time to show me a sample crown and also stated that he now has a machine to make the crowns in house so my entire procedure will be completed in one visit and no temporary crowns needed. Great dentist office and highly recommend.

I’m so grateful that I found Dr Coons. I’m usually very nervous in a dentist office but he and Candy really made me feel at ease. Everyone in the office was friendly and welcoming. What a great experience! So happy to have a new dentist!

This review is really overdue. A few weeks back Dr. Coons performed a root canal that I had been avoiding for almost 10 years. I literally hadn’t been able to eat on one side of my mouth for about a decade, at least not without an electric shock. But I hate going to the dentist and I effectively avoided it for years. Apparently, during these years my tooth had calcified making the procedure much more complex. But I never knew it. Dr. Coons is a wizard at his craft and his ability to perform these “trickier” procedures along with the more routine ones, makes for a great “one stop shop”. Also a huge plus for me is the ability Dr. Coons has to manage pain. He is hyper conscious about patient comfort- which was really what I needed. I didn’t feel anything during the procedure and barely felt more than a little pressure while I was being numbed. Again, I had no idea there was anything complex about my procedure because it was handled so smoothly. Now I have the “freedom to chew” after a decade of self-inflicted repression. A big thank you to Dr. Coons and his very capable staff!

I have the most beautiful bridge! It solved my problem of a very visable missing bottom molar. Now I can laugh and yawn without worring about if Im covering my mouth from every angle so no one sees!!! Lets not forget about all the wonderful things I can now chew with ease!!!!! Cant thank you enough! THANK YOU DR. COONS! Now I know the dentist SHOULD NOT be a scary place to go!

It was a pleasure meeting the kind staff at Atascadero Family Dentistry yesterday; overall I felt quite comfortable and I enjoyed my experience there.
